The History Behind the Gallery:
Established as Galerie L'Asietique in 1999, Calvin Charles Gallery has grown from a modest Asian antique dealer to a premier contemporary art destination. Calvin Charles blends together international artists living and working in China, Vietnam, and Japan, mid-career nationally recognized artists, and local emerging treasures!
The works of Kyoko Ibe, Wu Xiaohang, San Xiaton, Yvonne Ho Young Tzen, and Hong Viet Dung are included in our ever rotating collection of contemporary Asian work. We are also please to provide represent nationally renowned artists the include: Pascal, Jennyfer Stratman, Jeffrey John Gluck, and Patricia Sherwood who have been represented in museum exhibitions and have been key additions to dynamic public collections.
Since 2003, Calvin Charles Gallery has enjoyed a "Partnership in Art" with the Sanctuary Resort & Spa on Camelback Mountain, a distinguished resort in Paradise Valley, Arizona. The peaceful grounds and diverse settings at the Sanctuary have proved to be a magnificent exhibition space for large scale sculptures, as well as intimate works of art.

Yong Jo Ji

"My works of art are an act of nature, a metaphor, a single inner vision as the process of creating art becomes the art itself. The infinite expressed, captured on the finite canvas"

Yong Jo Ji creates these amazing works of art using geometric shapes and/or images as symbols for the emotion
of the moment. Get lost in Yong Jo Ji's work:

MICHAEL HAYKIN

Statement:
"I am a painter of realism, whose interest in observing the changing moment provides the structure for my work. While my paintings are composed with formal considerations, the focus is on the changing nature of a landscape or a figure. The surface of a painting is built of micro-layers of pigment allowing light and atmosphere to subtly shift, giving the image a shimmering translucency. It is as if the objects in my work provide a backdrop against which I am painting the air."
